Then where the vanished city stood, towering

Above the Plain of Knives, we saw a shimmering

Transformation. The mist-shrouded desert land

Shuddered and quaked in delirious agony, summoning

Ancient, fearful terrors from beyond the wall,

Beyond the limitations of human thought or wonder;

Obscene, gigantic, disintegrating, multidimensional

Fleshless avatars of torment – such unnatural

Emblazoned monsters from an abyss of unknown malice.
